Fenton white hobnail milk glass bowl

This is a Fenton Hobnail milk glass bowl. This pattern became a signature design for the Fenton Art Glass Company and was highly popular. The Fenton Art Glass Company introduced the hobnail pattern into its general line in 1940 and the milk glass (opaque white) version in 1950. The "hobnail" pattern is characterized by the raised knobs or studs that cover the exterior surface. It is made of milk glass, an opaque white glass that resembles porcelain. Pieces like this were mass-produced and were very popular from the 1950s through the 1970s. Measures 4.5” with the opening being 3.5”. Preowned. Some staining inside as well as small chips on the hobnail as shown in photos. Pickup is 58th and 7th Ave in midtown Manhattan
