Carrigaline Pottery – A Legacy of Irish Craftsmanship!
Founded in 1928 by Hodder Walworth Blacker Roberts in Carrigaline, County Cork, Carrigaline Pottery became a cornerstone of Irish ceramic production throughout the mid-20th century. Its products were often marked as Carrigaline Pottery or Carrig Ware, and the company gained early recognition for producing commemorative items for the 1932 Eucharistic Congress, a major religious event in Ireland.
For decades, the pottery was the main source of employment in Carrigaline, contributing significantly to the local economy and cultural identity. The company was known for its handcrafted tableware, tiles, and decorative ceramics, often featuring traditional Irish motifs.
