Antique Northern Electric Telephone

Antique Northern Electric Wall Box Telephone. Northern Electric wooden wall box telephone, presented in 1922, 1923, and reissued in 1925. Made in Canada, serviced by BC Telephones. It features a crank magneto system, a black Bakelite handset with coiled cord, and dual bells mounted on top. Originally used in early telephone exchanges, this antique Art Deco piece showcases a key moment in telecommunications history. The model number N717AH is stamped into the wood. The cord appears to be a later upgrade in the 1950s to the original fabric covered cord, making it a unique transitional piece. Original wood casing with visible patina, scratches, and minor wear from age. Crank handle intact and moves freely. Bells on top intact but untested. Overall good antique condition, untested for functionality and sold as display/decor item. Perfect for collectors, antique decor enthusiasts, or restoration proiects. About 9 inch long, 6 inch wide.
