Authentic Coptic Orthodox Mother-of-Pearl Hand Cross
$400
This is an authentic Egyptian Coptic Orthodox ceremonial hand cross, beautifully crafted from mother-of-pearl and decorated with traditional hand-set geometric mosaic inlay in black, white, and warm red tones — design elements deeply rooted in Coptic sacred art.
At the lower terminal of the cross is a devotional icon depicting Saint Pope Kyrillos VI of Alexandria (1959–1971), one of the most beloved modern saints of the Coptic Orthodox Church, widely known for his humility, miracles, and spiritual leadership.
The cross is accompanied by its original blue velvet presentation case, which provides both protection and an elegant display.
On the reverse of the cross is an original red Arabic monastery seal, confirming its association with Deir Anba Bishoy Monastery in Wadi El Natrun, Egypt, and referencing Pope Shenouda III, one of the most influential figures in modern Coptic history.
This piece is a large ceremonial cross, not a tourist souvenir, and was produced for religious or monastic use rather than decorative mass production.
