Rare, antique French fine porcelain oval serving platter from the renowned Parisian decorating studio of G. Mansard & J. Houry. Bearing the historic red backstamp "G. Mansard & J. Houry, 34, rue de Paradis, Paris", this piece dates to the late 19th or early 20th century. This heavy porcelain platter features an exceptional, deep cobalt blue rim decorated with thick, heavily encrusted scalloped gold gilt borders. The pale blue/white center features an intricate, hand-painted interlocking gold monogram crest. Atelier/Decorator: G. Mansard & J. Houry (Paris, France) Era: Late 19th Century / Early 20th Century Condition: Outstanding antique condition. The gold gilding remains bright and thick with remarkably little wear.
