They feature a Smoke Grey leather finish, though the surface has cracked and peeled in places. I’ve been using them with Ivory slipcovers, which completely hide the issue. The slipcovers are stretchable, washable, and additional colors are available online if you want to change the look. Please note: There is wear on the legs. Some plastic floor pads are missing. You can either remove all the pads or replace them with affordable furniture pads from a dollar store. Despite the wear, the stools remain solid, stable, and do not require any adjustments.
