Vintage Sparklets Soda Siphon Teal Chrome England c.1950s

An authentic mid-century English soda siphon by Sparklets Limited, presented in a highly desirable teal/turquoise and chrome colorway. This is a fully operational and complete example of classic post-war British barware, combining industrial craftsmanship with timeless cocktail culture. Sparklets Ltd. was the leading British manufacturer of soda siphons throughout the 20th century, widely used in both private homes and professional bars. Original Sparklets siphons—particularly those with colored heads—are now increasingly sought after by collectors and interior designers alike. ⸻ Maker & Origin • Sparklets Limited • Made in England (embossed on base) Date • Circa late 1960 to 1965 Materials • Chrome-plated metal body • Teal molded thermoplastic head • Lever-actuated dispensing mechanism ⸻ Condition & Functionality • Fully operational • Mechanism engages and releases correctly • Interior rubber seal/gasket is intact and supple • No rust or internal corrosion • Threading and nozzle are sound • Exterior shows only light surface wear consistent with age • Hand-engraved service marks inside the base, typical of professionally serviced siphons and supportive of authenticity This siphon is display-ready and functional, not merely decorative. ⸻ Design Notes The teal color is particularly desirable and pairs beautifully with mid-century modern, atomic, and classic cocktail bar interiors. The proportions, weight, and finish make this an excellent statement piece for both collectors and serious barware enthusiasts. ⸻ What Is Included • Sparklets soda siphon only ⸻ Important Note on Display Items Additional glassware and the serving tray shown in some photographs are not included in this listing. The antique tumblers and the tray are offered separately and are available in individual listings within my shop. ⸻ Care & Use Designed for traditional soda bulbs (“use one bulb only,” as marked).
