Vintage and out of print first run U.S. edition hardcover copy of About Rothko by Dore Ashton, based on her 20 year long relationship with the artist and their conversations. Published by Oxford University Press in 1983. In the first full-scale study of the artist, the author chronicles Rothko's life, work, artistic formation, and philosophical preoccupations. Good vintage condition with some minor wear on the dust jacket.
