Canada Art Pottery Turquoise Drip Glaze Scalloped Bowl 9.5”
$325
Collector-grade Canadian art pottery bowl, clearly marked “CANADA” on the base with a raised geometric emblem (please see base photo—this is the mark for this exact bowl).
This piece features an elegant scalloped/flower rim and a dramatic, kiln-fired glaze presentation: a high-gloss turquoise/teal variegated glaze with visible movement and depth, paired with a darker exterior (black-brown) and subtle glaze runs at the rim—typical of reactive/drip glaze work where layered glazes flux and “break” in the firing to create natural tonal shifts and pooling.
Estimated period: Based on the form, glaze treatment, and “CANADA” country mark style, this bowl is most consistent with mid-century Canadian art pottery, circa 1950s–1970s.
