Rare 1PR Levin of Sweden Goya F-11 Flattop c.1960’s

For those in the know — these old Levin-made Goyas are a tremendous bang for the buck. They're built incredibly well, have the feel of costlier guitars, and sound excellent. They also have that Nordic charm! It plucks like a grand piano. It’s in awesome shape for its age. If you’re crazy for crazing like I am, the lacquer has aged beautifully as shown. The neck action is true without need for adjustment or reset , and it continues to be a phenomenal player these some 65 years later. The double pickguard even still has the original plastic covering (hence the peeling of said plastic in certain playing areas). Can be removed if desired and will look consistent, but I’ve chosen to leave it for now. It’s a first production run (early 1960’s) F-11 model guitar made by Levin of Sweden for the Goya brand in the US. Features nylon-string fan-braced construction and a big, whopping, flamenco-ish tone for a smaller body. The neck is some nicely grained mahogany with a thin front-to-back but wide (classical) profile, and a rosewood board. The body is flamed solid birch back and sides with a good quality spruce top. This guitar is all original save for a new bridge pin. Original tuners wind smooth and hold very well. Only repair it’s seen is a common hairline top-crack under the bridge, and remarkably this guitar does not need a neck reset. The action is perfect.
