1979 Mercedes-Benz 240D - Great Car

Sadly deciding to downsize and letting go of our sweet little blue Mercedes. Impeccably good friendly vibes, you never come home after a drive without some smiles on the journey! A very classic car, and built extremely well - they are still on the road as taxicabs in third world countries; they are extremely tough, and incredibly cheap on fuel. In the past 5,000km I have put new 4 calipers, 4 rotors and 4 pads, 2 new front wheel bearings, new vacuum pump, new glowplugs, valve cover gasket, and oil change. It starts right up and drives very well. I love this car, hard to find pastel blue colour. Interior is in excellent condition minus a few small cracks in dash. A few minor imperfections on the body, but super solid frame and floor pan. An interesting thing related to their overbuilt quality - the owners manual contains the phrase “the rear differential failure is not anticipated”. It’s a great car, sale is not essential to me, I may store it until I have more time to enjoy it.
