Vintage Canadian Beauceware Trinket Dish, Black Starburst Drip G
$30
Mid-Century Modern decorative ceramic dish, characterized by its "boat" or "mandorla" (eye) shape and a striking starburst drip glaze. Dish is black and the reactive drip glaze, where different chemical glazes melt and flow together in the kiln to create an unpredictable, organic design with purple, blue, green and white tones. Moulded on the base are the words "Beauce," "Canada" and the mould number "1125." There is also an "L" marking at the centre of the base. Dimensions: approx. 8.5 inches in max. length; 5 inches in max. width; and 1.5 in max. height. Excellent preloved condition, with no obvious chips, cracks or repairs. Minor scuffing on the base.
