In the 1990s, women’s and junior's Levi's (like the 550 relaxed-fit taper) were often numbered on the inner care tag using odd numbers (like 5, 7, 9, 11) rather than modern waist inches. A 90s junior size 11 usually measures around 14 inches across the waist when laid flat (approx. 28 inches total), with a higher rise sitting near the natural waist.
