Tool Antique Horse Hoof Rasp Canadian GLOBE – Port Hope Ontario – 15" – $25 Donlands O'Connor Wonderful old Canadian farrier’s horse hoof rasp made by GLOBE / Globe File Manufacturing Co. of Port Hope, Ontario. About 15" long. Heavy solid steel with very coarse raised teeth and the original circular GLOBE maker’s mark still visible. Globe File Manufacturing was established in Port Hope in the late 1800s, making this a great piece of early Canadian tool and agricultural history. Nice authentic aged condition with surface rust and patina from many decades of use and storage. I have left it as found rather than aggressively cleaning it.
