Walasse Ting “Can I Give You a Parrot?” Vintage Art 1983

Walasse Ting (1928–2010) was a Chinese-American painter, printmaker and poet known for his exuberant use of colour, expressive linework, and recurring subjects including women, flowers, birds and animals. A fantastic oversized piece with Ting’s signature saturated palette — turquoise, cobalt, emerald green, hot pink and red — featuring a woman surrounded by brightly coloured parrots. The square artist seal appears at the upper right as part of the image. Presented under glass with cream and pink matting in a deep burgundy frame.
