Cozy Wescomills wool blanket, approximately 62" x 69". Some of the edge stitching has come off, and there is a small stained area about the size of a loonie (please see photos for details). The "51" on the label likely indicates the year of production, 1951. These blankets were frequently sourced as military surplus for civil defense or official use, such as "officer blankets" for the Department of National Defence (DND). The tag specifies it is "MOTHEROOFED" (moth-proofed), a common treatment for high-quality vintage wool products to prevent insect damage.
