Rare and highly collectible vintage Taltos zodiac themed tasseomancy/ tea leaf reading teacup and saucer set, in original box, with original tea leaf reading instruction book. Fine bone china, made in Staffordshire, England by Hudson & Middleton. Both the cup and saucer are encircled with images of astrological signs, planetary symbols, and folklore imagery. The teacup has fine cursive script that reads "Would'st thy fortune like to see? Perchance this cup will show it thee." Set is from the 1980s, and is inspired by the design of the historic Nelros Cup of Fortune from 1904, the first astrology/ mystical fortunetelling cup of this style. Cup and saucer are in excellent vintage condition with no chips or structural cracks. The box and book show some signs of age. A true conversation piece, ideal for dark cottagecore décor, oddity and occult collectors, altar styling, and celestial gothic interiors.
