Vintage 1942 Canadian Quarter

Selling a vintage 1942 Canadian quarter featuring a caribou on the reverse side. A great piece for collectors or anyone interested in Canadian history! Why it’s rare: This quarter is rare due to its high silver content, good circulated condition, and its history, being minted during World War II. The coin is about 80% silver and 20% copper. Over the years, many of these coins were melted down for their silver, which means that the remaining coins are more difficult to come across. Having sorted through many circulated coins, I’ve never seen a coin this old. Although it’s not in pristine condition, I think it has stood up remarkably well in over 80+ years old circulation.
