I originally purchased this Mac mini in 2012 as refurbished directly from Apple. It was used as my main computer for a few years, sat in a cupboard for many, and more recently was setup as a media and backup server. The Mac mini has been upgraded with 8GB of RAM and two SSD drives. The main hard drive was replaced with a 2TB SSD and I installed a mounting kit and cable inside the Mac mini to accommodate a second SSD drive which is 4TB. The SSD drives were purchased in July (2TB) and December (4TB) 2023. I set up various volumes to support Time Machine backups of my other computers, a file server to store files needed across devices, a shared Apple Music library, and a Plex media server to stream movies and shows to my TV, phones and tablets. The computer is in perfect condition. No physical damage, no scratches, and all ports work. I had it hooked up to my TV using the HDMI connector, but mostly accessed it as a headless computer through remote sharing or as a streaming device with Plex. It has the latest compatible Mac OS installed, Catalina 10.15.7, and has been reset and is ready for setup by its new owner. Included with the computer is an Apple Wired Keyboard (the keyboard works fine once the computer starts up but start up key combinations do not work), Apple Magic Mouse (the old school one with AA batteries – I’ve installed new ones), Apple IR Remote (great for music playback or watching movies/shows), Apple HDMI to DVI adapter (for any old school monitor setups), and a USB stick setup as a Mac OS Catalina boot drive for reinstalling the OS if needed. There’s also a vertical stand.
