Antique/vintage celebrated French artist Henri Jourdain’s lithograph titled “Canal en Automne” (Canal in Autumn) in a gold coloured period frame. Signed in pencil by the artist to the bottom right. Henri Jourdain (1864-1931) was a well known French Impressionist printmaker and painter recognized for his tranquil, atmospheric landscape depictions of the French countryside. This lithograph depicts a scene along a quiet canal during the late autumn, featuring tall bare trees, a distant barge and strolling figures. This scene is typical of Jourdain’s late 19th and 20th century romanticist style. Good condition. Professionally framed and matted. No issues. Any wear commensurates with the age.
