Vintage 1960s-1970s Star Headlight & Lantern Co. railroad lantern. Blue metal body with silver accents. Features a wooden handle and star cutout design. It has a metal base / stand and can be tilted up or down to direct the light. Star Headlight & Lantern was founded in 1889, New York. The company name changes to Star Headlight & Lantern. Grote Industries acquired Star Headlight & Lantern Co, Inc. This lantern was made for the railroads since the 1940's. Original owner. Functional - requires a new bulb and battery/ies.
