This is a 20” x 24” canvas paintings in acrylic.I’ve been having some fun with color lately, and my latest piece, CHAPLIN HUES, is where that playfulness really comes through. It’s a portrait inspired by a quirky snapshot of Charlie Chaplin—his little mustache and bowler hat make for such great character. I wanted to capture that curious tilt of his head with bold brushstrokes and warm shades of orange, pink, and beige, balanced out by calm blues in his clothes and a split-tone background that keeps things interesting. The process was all about exploring color in a fresh way, breaking away from the usual to find something lively and expressive. It’s a stylized nod to a classic icon, with just enough abstraction to keep you guessing what’s on his mind.
