Vintage Mid-Century Modern Abstract Ceramic Tile Art

Up for sale is a beautiful vintage abstract ceramic art tile heavily inspired by the late 20th-century work of Czech modernist painter Bohumír Matal. The piece features a striking geometric composition with a stylized face/eye motif, combining a warm ochre-yellow background with vibrant accent blocks of blue, red, and brown. The tile is beautifully glazed with raised, defined lines giving it wonderful depth and texture. It comes housed in a clean, vintage light-wood tabletop frame with a velvet-covered backing, standing arm, and a small loop for wall hanging. A perfect addition to any mid-century modern, Bauhaus, or Eastern European modernist art collection. Excellent vintage condition. The glaze is bright, glossy, and free of any major chips or cracks.
