Rare 1891 Grand Orange Lodge of BC Antique Seal Press - Lion Hea

Rare piece of British Columbia history. This is a heavy, Victorian cast-iron "Lion Head" seal press used by the Provincial Grand Orange Lodge of BC. Historical Significance: Engraved with the exact founding date of the BC headquarters: "Orgd Nov 18, 1891." Design: Features an intricate die of King William III on a rearing horse with two crossed flags. Condition: Solid cast iron with great patina. Handle works smoothly. The engraving is very detailed; the die needs a deep cleaning to produce a sharp paper impression, but it makes a fantastic historical display piece.
