Nice Antique Promissory Note - Berlin, Oct 28, 1871

In box 2. This is a unique piece of Canadian history, an authentic 1871 promissory note issued in Berlin (now Kitchener), ON. This document features an elegant engraving of a woman with a water bucket and displays clear, ornate period handwriting dated October 28, 1871. The back of the note includes vintage revenue stamps and a handwritten ledger notation from March 5, 1872, indicating a partial payment. This historical document is in used condition with signs of age-appropriate wear, including paper creasing and tape marks.
