Shoe button, or coral berry Plant

This is an evergreen shrub or small tree native to Southeast Asia. The plant is known for its leathery, elliptical leaves and small, star-shaped pink flowers that hang in clusters. It produces round, fleshy fruits that start red and turn black or purple as they mature. Ardisia elliptica is a shade-tolerant plant that thrives in moist, acidic soil.
