This is a John Derian decoupage glass tray featuring "La Grande Roue" (The Big Wheel) of Paris. John Derian's signature style involves hand-applying antique and vintage paper imagery onto handblown glass in his New York studio. The image is based on an antique postcard of the Paris Ferris Wheel, originally built for the 1900 World's Fair. Each piece is created using decoupage, where designs are cut and collaged onto the back of the glass before being finished with felt.
