1990 Fisher AL-1 vintage MTB

All original, very low mileage, 1990 golden age of mtb survivor. I dragged this home from a friend in Calgary a few years ago with big plans for it, but I’m just not gonna get to it. Has all the hallmarks of the era: deore thumbies, SLR levers, Deore 3x7 drivertrain, 1 1/4” quilled stem, and this one even has the Odyssey Aerator seat post (which on is own is pricey). I am not selling this with the intention of someone commuting on it as is, or using it as a actual mountain bike. I will not tell you it’s ‘tuned up’ and ‘ready to roll’. It is not. It IS rideable in theory, but it is not enjoyable, or particularly safe. However, if you’re an experienced ‘bike person’ you could get it home no problem. It needs grips and pedals and cables and pads, and every bearing needs servicing. I took the original tires off and threw some other beaters on to ride it around the block and check systems. Shame about the OG tires, it clearly sat for a long time with no air, and the flat spots frayed on the sidewall. Having said all that, EVERYTHING WORKS. This is for mechanics or enthusiasts that want to give it the ‘Blue Lug’ treatment. If you know, you know. Huge potential for a sweet weekend warrior or even a rust proof 4 seasons commuter. It is aluminum after all, hence the name. Suprisingly big, which is another hallmark of the era. Seatube is 19” c-c. I want $300 for it. The seatpost alone is potentially worth half that. I know you can’t always get what you want though, so try me.
