9 reviewsThis impressive vintage ebony carving depicts the blind drummer, Morris Nyunyusa who died in 1999. He came from Tanzania and was famed for playing 12 drums simultaneously. It measures 12"/30cm long . The quality of the craftsmanship and material is also very high. In short, this is a very desirable piece of African art. In 1997, the President of Tanzania presented a similar carving to HM Queen Elizabeth II at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. It now forms part of the Royal Collection.
