This beautiful vintage multi-dimensional shadow box frame from late 1970’s features a miniature cobalt blue glass/porcelain snuff bottle wrapped in a detailed silvery dragon filigree motif, resting gracefully on a miniature hand-carved wooden display stand.The background features flowing semi-cursive Chinese calligraphy with a central red imperial collection seal stamp. The text is an excerpt from the famous 1082 classical masterpiece "Latter Prose-Poem on the Red Cliff" (Hou Chibi Fu / 後赤壁賦) by the legendary Song Dynasty poet Su Shi (Su Dongpo).
