The engine and transmission are solid, but the vehicle currently suffers from an electrical shutdown due to rack & pinion failure / fluid leak. The Issues: • Electrical Shutdown: The power steering line/rack leaked fluid directly onto the alternator, leading to a total loss of electrical power. The battery has since been recharged to full power. • Steering: The rack and pinion needs to be replaced. • Gasket: There is a minor, typical oil leak from the valve cover gasket. • Because of these steering and electrical issues, the car will need to be towed. The Good News (Mechanical Proof): • Engine & Transmission: Both are solid. The engine starts up and runs beautifully.
