Vintage Mexican Barro Negro Woman Candelabra

Stunning example of Mexican barro negro pottery, a candelabra of a woman with raised arms and detailed foliage in the front of her dress. - unsigned - some glaze imperfections as part of the original firing, along with some minor age-related wear - 9” tall, 6” wide, fits candles with 1/2” diameter. Barro negro is a renowned style of pottery from San Bartolo Coyotepec, Oaxaca, Mexico, known for its distinctive, shiny black color and intricate, hand-carved designs.
