Framed hand-drawn picture of a castle in Neuburg and a bridge over the Danube River, with a signature and dated 1924. The title on the right translates to, "Neuburg's White Buildings, Danube River and Bridge 1680". I bought this when visiting Germany. The seller spoke little English and I no German. He was trying to tell me the story behind it and who the artist was. I just thought it was a cool souvenir. Since then I got curious but the only thing I had to go by, was the framer's stamp on the back. I emailed the Mayor of Neuburg and received the following from Neuburg's City Archives and Registry office. "it could be Karl Hoffmann (born 1881 in Nuremberg, son of Adam Hoffmann and his wife Sophie von Braun). Karl Hoffmann lived in Schwabach from 1921 until 1925. From 1925 until 1932 he lived in Neuburg. He was a drawing teacher at the High School of Neuburg. In 1932 he moved to Regensburg." Harrington's suggested listing for $250-$300. Will take $200.
