Decorative Cake Stands with Fern and Insect Design

Set of decorative plates featuring a detailed botanical illustration of ferns and various insects. The plates have a cream-coloured base with gold trim and a scalloped edge. They'd add a touch of vintage charm to any display. Display only. We believe the cake stands and plates (see my other listing) date back to the late 19th century, circa 1870 to 1900 when there was a lot of interest in botanical designs and insects. Cake stands and plates most likely shipped from the US to either Great Britain or mainland Europe where they were hand painted.
