Antique 1930s Art Deco 3-Piece "Waterfall" Bedroom Set

Location: Mission, BC Charming and authentic 3-piece Art Deco "Waterfall" design bedroom suite, with a burl accent, originally purchased new by my mother in the 1930s. This set has stayed in the family for nearly a century and is a wonderful example of Canadian furniture history (Suite #650). The set includes: • 4-Drawer Tallboy Dresser: Classic rounded "waterfall" top. The top-drawer front features a burl wood veneer, known for its intricate and swirling grain patterns. • Vanity with Large Mirror: Featuring the signature Art Deco silhouette. • Full-Size Bedframe: Includes both the headboard and footboard and fits a standard 54“wide double mattress. Features & Condition: • Materials: Crafted with shimmering book-matched Mahogany and Walnut veneers. • Hardware: All original brass and amber Bakelite pulls are intact and in excellent shape (highly sought after by collectors). • Condition: This set is in fair vintage condition and has been well-loved in our family for 90 years. There are two circular surface marks (approx. 4” and 6" in diameter) on top of the vanity (4 “) and the dresser (6”), likely from water or vases. These are surface-level in the finish and do not affect structural integrity. There is a minor veneer chip on the top back right-hand corner of the dresser. The rest of the veneer shows only the natural signs of wear you’d expect from authentic 1930s furniture, adding a sense of history and character. • Provenance: Single-family owned since the 1930s.
