Vintage Montreal Star Coin-Operated Newspaper Vending Machine

Rare original Montreal Star coin-operated newspaper vending machine from the 1970s. This full-size metal newspaper box retains its original blue paint, "Read The Montreal Star Every Day" graphics, coin mechanism, display window, and pricing decals. The coin activation mechanism is still functioning. Included with the machine are original items discovered inside the box, including: Last issue of Montreal Star newspaper Last Saturday issue A Montreal Star comics section An Elvis memorial publication (1935–1977) Original distribution ticket identifying the box as being assigned to Macdonald College (now McGill University's Macdonald Campus) in Sainte-Anne-de-Bellevue, Quebec A unique piece of Montreal, newspaper, and McGill history that would make an outstanding display item for a collector, library, office, pub, media company, or vintage décor space. Condition is original and unrestored, with expected wear, scratches, and surface rust consistent with age. No key is included. Coin mechanism remains operational.
