Antique Satsuma Family Porcelain Vase Lamp

Up for sale is a superb antique, finely hand-painted Satsuma family porcelain vase lamp. The vase has magnificent proportions and beautiful large court scenes in the main body. The main medallions in front and back are different court scenes with superb details and colors, outlined with a dragon-shaped raised border. The side panels are beautifully detailed with raised Chinese characters on both sides. This gorgeous Chinese Satsuma vase was later converted into a fine table lamp. It's in excellent working condition and has beautiful scenery and workmanship. The lamp dates to the mid-1800s and may be from the Qing dynasty. The overall height to the top of the finial is 18 inches, and it is 6 inches wide at the widest point. The base wood has a small broken piece (see photo) and is 5 inches in diameter.
