Plants Bergenia cordifolia 'Winter Glow' (Heartleaf

Bergenia cordifolia 'Winter Glow' (Heartleaf Bergenia) is a clump-forming evergreen perennial boasting erect clusters of dark pink flowers atop thick red stems from early to late spring and often later in the fall. The showy blossoms rise above a rosette of leathery, shiny leaves. Bergenia will tolerate a wide range of soils, lighting and moisture conditions, but grows best in partial sun, and moist, rich, humus soil. Bergenia are evergreen, so remove only damaged and tattered foliage as necessary. Bergenia, also known as pigsqueak for the sound it makes when two leaves are rubbed together, fills that shady or dappled spot in your garden where so many flowers shy away. Bergenia plant care takes very little time, as these are low-maintenance plants. $8 each. For sale by owner. Curbside pickup available.
