Vintage East German BAT No. 158 Lantern

Vintage Bat Model Kerosene Lantern BAT No. 158. These were made in East Germany between the 1950s-1980s. Marked MADE IN GDR. It is easily identifiable by the embossed stylized bat logo stamped onto the metal fuel fount at the base. It is roughly 10” tall, composed of glass and metal.
There are definitely signs of age and rust to the metal so I’m not sure if it can function as a lantern, but it could possibly be restored. I’ve cleaned the glass and given the rest of it a general cleaning. Its appeal is largely as a charming and rustic vintage item.
