Upcycled 1950s Industrial "Stop & Go" Rolling Cart – Aarbo
$200
Elevate your space with this one-of-a-kind, thoughtfully upcycled mid-century industrial rolling table.
Perfectly salvaged and reimagined, this piece blends heavy-duty 1950s mechanical engineering with a sleek, modern aesthetic.
It makes an incredible plant console, laptop desk, or mobile bar cart.
The Story & Craftsmanship:
The Vintage Base:
Built on an authentic 1950s "stop and go" industrial steel frame (originally sourced from a heavy-duty vintage office desk/sewing machine base).
The Expansion:
The footprint has been custom-expanded to a spacious 37.5” span and deepened to a highly functional 20” depth (widened from the restrictive, original 18" factory size).
The Top:
Upcycled with a premium, durable Arbor top featuring a striking contemporary faux-marble finish.
It provides a stunning visual contrast against the rugged metal base.
Why It’s Perfect for Plant Lovers & Small Spaces:
Water-Resistant Finish:
Unlike real marble or raw wood which permanently stain and water-log, this sealed composite surface is completely water-resistant.
Spill your watering can? No problem—just wipe it clean.
Smooth Mobile "Stop & Go" Mechanism: Features a fully functional mechanical foot pedal.
Step on it to raise the table onto smooth-rolling casters to move your plants into the sunlight.
Flip it back down to lock the heavy feet securely to the floor so it won't budge.
Perfect Dimensions: 37.5" Wide x 20"
Deep.
Condition:Excellent upcycled condition.
The vintage steel frame has a beautiful authentic patina, while the mechanical lifting lever operates smoothly.
The top surface is clean, sturdy, and ready for your home.
