Antique Cast Iron Balance Scale with Weights

This is an antique cast iron balance scale with weights, made of black cast iron. It includes a set of accompanying weights. Similar scales are often categorized as collectibles under "Mercantile, Trades & Factories" antiques and were used in the late 1800’s - early 1900’s in various types of stores. These scales feature a large pan for holding items to be weighed and a beam with counterweights.
