2004 Canada RCM Annual Report with Gold Plated Silver Poppy Coin

In 2004, the Royal Canadian Mint released a special 25-cent to commemorate the men and women who served the great country of Canada in achieving liberty and peace. It was the world's first coloured circulation coin and it immediately became a big hit and a collector's item. It was named the Most Innovative Circulation Coin in the Mint Directors' Conference (MDC) in France. 30 million of these coins were minted. With a face value of 25 cents, the reverse of the coin comes with a coloured image of the poppy, a powerful symbol of remembrance, while the obverse displays the effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. This coin comes with the Royal Canadian Mint's Annual Report for the year.
