Solid Mahogany Bow Front Dresser c1830

This highly sought after solid mahogany antique was handcrafted before 1830 at a time before electric lights, before indoor plumbing and before power tools. This rare find has all the features appropriate for its age. Solid mahogany, original mahogany knobs, hand planed oak drawers, hand cut dovetails, hand made nails, solid plank back, brass escutcheons. Cleaned and refinished without removing the glorious marks and repairs appropriate for its 200 year history. Luckily no panels have been replaced. Part of its charm comes from its original knobs when most dressers of the time we're updated to Victorian ones when Georgian sensibilities fell out of favour. 42" (107 cm) wide 20.5" (52 cm) deep 41.5" (106 cm) tall All drawers clean and smooth.
