Wilfrid Moser was a popular artist in the 1980s in New York City, a time when Art Deco and a strong graphic style were regaining popularity in art and culture. He called his concept "New Heroicism,” a modern interpretation drawn from the Art Deco, Mannerist, pre-Raphaelite, and Romantic art periods. Greek, Roman, and Egyptian mythological elements also inform and influence Moser's work. Moser's distinctive illustrations were featured in major magazines and publications such as Vogue, GQ, and Manhattan Catalogue.
