These are a really striking pair of mid-century artisan earrings from Mexico. They feature hand-carved Black Onyx "masks" set in solid sterling silver. The detail in the carvings is fantastic and they have that classic Mayan/Aztec revival look that was so popular in the 1950s. Note on Closure: These are original screw-backs. They are very comfortable and adjustable, making them a perfect option if you don't have pierced ears, though they look just like standard earrings when worn!
