Vintage French Solid Wood Extendable Dining Table – Parquet Top

Beautiful vintage solid wood extendable dining table, purchased in France and brought to Canada. Features a gorgeous parquet/checkerboard wood top, substantial turned legs, decorative stretchers and traditional French country character. The wood has a distressed, time-worn finish with variations in tone and patina that give the table a lot of character. Very solid and substantial piece — not MDF or veneer furniture. The table includes two 22”(56 cm ) extension leaves, allowing it to transform from a comfortable everyday dining table to a very large table for entertaining. Dimensions: Closed: 146 × 94 × 74.5 cm (57.5” × 37” × 29.3”) 1 extension: 202 × 94 cm (79.5” × 37”) Fully extended: 258 × 94 cm (101.6” × 37” / approx. 8.5 ft) Seats approximately 6 when closed and up to 10 when fully extended, depending on chair size. The main tabletop has a distressed finish. The two extension leaves retain their original warmer wood finish and have not been distressed to match, as shown in the photos. They can be left as-is or finished to match by the new owner. Condition: Vintage condition with visible wear, marks and variations to the finish consistent with age and use. Please see photos.
