Asahi Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 - Rare 8-Element M42 Lens

$300 - Firm. Asahi Super-Takumar 50mm f/1.4 with the rare 8-element optical design in an M42 screw mount. Widely appreciated by collectors and vintage enthusiasts for its unique optical rendering, incredible sharpness, and beautiful bokeh. Version: Rare 8-element / 6-group design (the coveted early production model known for its distinct optical formula and avoiding the yellowing thorium glass found in later versions). Mechanically: Fully working. The focus ring is smooth, and the aperture blades snap nicely with crisp click stops. Optically: Decent and fully usable, though not pristine. Shows some minor cleaning marks and dust typical of its age, but nothing that will affect your everyday shooting. It still delivers gorgeous vintage images, rich contrast, and that signature Takumar character. A fantastic opportunity to own a piece of photographic history. Perfect for film cameras or modern mirrorless setups using an inexpensive adapter (Sony E, Canon EF/RF, Fujifilm, M43, etc.).
