Vintage No. 3A Special Kodak Folding Camera

This is a classic No. 3A Special Kodak Model A (manufactured circa 1910–1914 by Eastman Kodak) folding camera fitted with a high-end Zeiss Kodak Anastigmat f/6.3 lens and a Compound shutter. It features a leather-covered body with a black bellows design. This piece is a collectible item for photography enthusiasts. If the bellows are completely light-tight, the pneumatic/mechanical Compound shutter fires accurately across speeds. The Zeiss lens glass is clean (free of heavy haze, fungus, or deep scratches). Factors Influencing Value The Lens & Shutter Assembly: This camera features a Zeiss Kodak Anastigmat lens set in a German Compound shutter—a premium, upgraded configuration compared to the standard rapid-rectilinear or ball-bearing setups of that era. Obsolete Film Size: It was designed to shoot 122 roll film (producing postcard-sized 3\frac{1}{4} \times 5\frac{1}{2} inch negatives), a format that was discontinued in the 1970s. Because standard modern films (like 120 or 35mm) do not fit without custom adapters, these cameras are primarily bought as decorative display pieces, historical collectibles, or props rather than daily-use tools. Excellent condition due to age. Pick up location: 5900 Decatur Street Ridgewood, NY 11385
