It makes me feel really good doing it and other people get to benefit! First Karrot experience My very first experience was tremendous. I met with Sandra, who is lovely, and she even gave me some great tips. She said to “always make sure to bring a couple of other items that you think they’d be interested in”. I met up with her to purchase a glass pitcher, and she ended up bringing me a set of matching glasses plus a whiskey set. I actually did end up buying more than one item from her! I’ve met up with Sandra multiple times now and we still keep in touch. Memorable Karrot Story I had a great experience with a newcomer who had just moved to Canada. She has 2 young children. Her and her husband were new immigrants who had just moved to the Woodbridge area. She was looking for a box spring for her son's bed, and was so excited when she saw my listing. I delivered it since they didn’t have a van and when I saw her in person, she was overjoyed! After helping them set it up, her son was so happy and jumped up right up onto the bed! It was such a great feeling knowing that we had helped new members of our community! Tip #1 ALWAYS WRITE REVIEWS. And not only checkmark the options in the boxes but also, take a moment to write 1-2 quick sentences about your experience. That's one of the best ways to gain more points and boost your Karroter status! Tip #2 The app allows you to choose more than one location. For some people it’s very difficult to meet at certain locations, so it’s good to give them 2 options if possible. For example, if you work at an office in a different area or you visit your parents' or in-laws' home every weekend, put it as an alternative location. Offer delivery if possible with a small fee. Tip #3 Look at the profile of the people you’re meeting with to get a feel of their shopping style from their reviews. Chat and see if they are interested in anything else that you’re selling.
