It shows signs of use. The lacquer shows signs of knocks and lack of polychromy. Measurements: 180 x 76 x 37 cm. This Japanese bookcase, dating from the Meiji period, stands on four legs with prominent knees. Its main body is structured in five different levels: the lower one with five drawers, the one immediately above with a sliding door and the remaining three with shelves for shelving. The entire piece of furniture is decorated in the same careful and balanced way: on a black background, an idyllic plant composition is set against a background of cherry blossom trees and fluttering birds. The top is decorated with a splendid landscape scene with cranes flapping their wings to take flight. The sides are also polychromed. Dimensions 180 x 76 x 37 cm. Condition: Used - Fair.
